Expert Overview

I'm a physician/health economist/coach/writer who works with physicians, healthcare organizations, and health care leaders in the United States and Europe. I have been educated at the London School of Economics, Universities of Colorado and Utah, and Texas A&M College of Medicine. I particularly enjoy working with physicians and health care leaders who are having problems managing conflicts, those who may be searching for a change in their careers, or wanting to prepare for leadership positions, as well as organizations seeking consultation on wellness and strategic initiatives.

Client and Business Focus:

My clients are mostly self-referrals from physicians or from hospital medical staff affairs in the United States and Europe. In addition, I work with Human Resource Departments in fact-finding mediation, physician satisfaction, wellness initiatives, medical benefits, human resource development, physician career development, and strategic planning.

Background and Experience:

I have held positions within healthcare from staff physician to chairman of the hospital board. For my organizational clients, I strive to bring a physician and health economist perspective toward building a collaborative relationship between the medical staff and administration.

Education and Credentials:

I am a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, a Certified Physician Executive, and a Certified Physician Development Coach. I am also certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in occupational medicine. I graduated from Texas A&M College of Medicine, residency at the University of Utah, and have a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Colorado, as well as an MPH from the University of Utah. I’m also graduating in 2014 from the London School of Economics in Health Economics.
