With broad experience as a senior healthcare executive and consulting partner to Fortune 100 companies, Tracy collaborates with clients to develop impactful and innovative leadership development and talent management solutions to meet business needs and drive desired change.

For over 25 years, Tracy has been working in the field of leadership development, helping physician leaders and healthcare executives expand their leadership effectiveness and develop breakthrough strategies to meet the challenges of leading change in their organizations. Tracy encourages her clients to understand their core drivers and skill sets to leverage their strengths, while developing strategies to overcome barriers to success. Tracy guides her clients through honest self-evaluation utilizing a variety of assessment tools, coupled with a review of stakeholder’s perceptions, to enable individuals to understand how their motives influence their behavior. A developmental plan is used to encourage a focus on strengths and key competencies to improve personal and professional performance.

Background & Experience:

In addition to her coaching practice, Tracy is the Founder and President of The Leadership Development Group (TLD Group), a global healthcare talent development firm. TLD Group partners with healthcare organizations, including providers, payers, and pharmaceutical companies to provide talent development programs including executive and physician leadership assessment and coaching, organizational development consulting, and group leadership development programs including the firm’s custom designed Applied Physician Leadership Academy© (APLA™). APLA™ is designed to engage and empower medical and scientific leaders to take on the leadership challenges facing the industry and position their organizations for success. Tracy leads a worldwide cadre of over 200 organizational development practitioners, academicians, coaches, and consultants with deep expertise in the healthcare industry.

Tracy was previously Senior Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness and Healthcare Practice Leader at a leading boutique executive coaching and leadership development firm; a Leadership and Talent Principal with the Hay Group, one of the world’s most respected leadership and talent development organizations; and a Change Management and Communications Consultant at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Early in her career, Tracy devoted much of her professional life to healthcare administration in some of the leading healthcare institutions in NYC including Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center, and Oxford Health Plans. Tracy is on the faculty of the Department of Psychology, Montclair State University and a frequent public speaker and author on such topics as physician leadership trends, succession planning and talent development.

Education & Credentials:

Tracy earned her PhD in Public Health Policy and Management from New York University. Her doctoral dissertation, Assessing the Critical Behavioral Competencies of Managed Care Physicians, was used as a guide for physician selection for one of the largest managed care organizations. Tracy holds an MPH from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey focusing her research on The Impact of TQM on Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems, and a BA in Public Health from the University of Rochester. Tracy is a Certified Physician Executive Coach as well as a Board member of the Physician Coaching Institute, a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, and is certified in a variety of psychometric assessment tools such as the MBTI, 16PF, Hogan and Bar-On EQi. Tracy is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Board Chair for the Education Committee for ACHE-NJ, and a member of the American College of Physician Executives.
