Dr. Malcolm is on a mission to help physician leaders be agile, resilient, and compassionate exemplifying authenticity in every relationship and every encounter. She provides specialized expertise in coaching physicians of color on the leadership pathway and along all levels of their leadership journey. By elevating group awareness and co-creating a circle of belonging, Dr. Malcolm develops inclusive and trusting teams which transform both the individual and the organization they serve.

Background and Experience

Dr. Malcolm is the CEO/Founder of Master Physician Leaders, a coaching firm delivering dynamic, dedicated guidance for physicians committed to maximizing their leadership and wellness potential. She approaches every challenge with an open and willing spirit. Her coaching philosophy, The Malcolm Method, is rooted in the principles of social and emotional intelligence, positive psychology, strengths-based leadership, radical empathy, and supportive accountability. She is a transformative physician executive with extensive experience in acute care, ambulatory, and medical group settings. She has served as a Chief Medical Officer in a large, multi-state, integrated healthcare system, applying the principles of trust, kindness, and lifelong learning to promote quality, safety, and service excellence across the enterprise. Dr. Malcolm is zealous in her belief a culturally competent and exceptional experience in clinical care, the human(e) experience, is achievable through meaningful and authentic relationships with others. Education and Credentials

Dr. Malcolm is certified at the ACC level by the International Coaching Federation, a certified Social and Emotional Intelligence Coach and a Certified Profit from the Positive Practitioner. She has received extensive training in executive coaching and is certified to administer the iEQ9 Enneagram Profile, DISC+ Values Assessment, and the 360 Feedback Survey developed by the Institute of Social + Emotional Intelligence. She is a Certified Physician Executive and a current board member of the American Association of Physician Leadership (AAPL). Dr. Malcolm earned her undergraduate degree from UC San Diego (Revelle College) and is a graduate of Tulane University, School of Medicine. She completed her OBGYN internship at the University of California, Los Angeles, and her residency at Creighton University, School of Medicine, Dignity Health Residency Program. She is a board-certified OBGYN and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Malcolm graduated magna cum laude with a Masters in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University and was inducted into the honors business society. In addition to her professional roles and responsibilities, Dr. Malcolm is a proud mother of three young and energetic boys and a devoted wife to her loving husband. She relishes spending quality time with her family. In her free time, she enjoys reading and pushing herself to the limit in a rigorous workout.
