I am the Physician Entrepreneur and Business Development Coach, who helps entrepreneurial physicians thrive in their medical practices and non-clinical businesses.

Client and Business Focus:

My ideal clients are physicians who are or aspire to be entrepreneurs, or be more businesslike in their medical practices. They would love to start a new non-clinical business, develop products to sell or additional revenue streams for their medical practices, or improve their business and marketing skills in their medical practices. They don’t know exactly how to proceed and are seeking guidance, information, encouragements and access to resources.

My physician coaching clients are also seeking to strengthen their leadership and strategic planning skills as they steer their medical practices or non-clinical businesses into an increasingly challenging future.

My work also includes helping physicians with their professional development as they seek new non-clinical careers and opportunities.

Background and Experience:

I am a physician entrepreneur/business owner who has succeeded in building my own coaching business over the last 8 years. As an ICF-certified coach, I bring not only my knowledge of healthcare and business to the table, but also a coaching skill set that helps my clients create the vision and plan needed to succeed in a medical practice or non-clinical business.

I’m a formerly practicing Family Physician, a former hospital Medical Director and then CEO, and a former executive in two Internet startups.

Education and Credentials:

MD - obtained in South Africa in 1978; Board-certified Family Physician (through 2010); MPH in Healthcare Administration and Policy; CPCC (certified coach); PCC (coaching certification issued by the International Coaching Federation)
