Lisa Westberg is a Certified Physician Development coach with over 20 years of executive and operational excellence coaching experience, and has been coaching physicians, NP’s, PA’s and their teams since 2014.
She offers a wealth of experience as she has coached clinician teams across entire systems to include Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Mental Health, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, General Surgery, ENT, OB GYN, Bariatric Surgery, Pulmonology and Sleep, Gastroenterology, Urology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, Vascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Lisa’s approach to coaching is underpinned by an appreciation for the challenges presented to each clinician as they navigate the rhythms of a purposeful, balanced life and high quality, safe patient care; fiduciary sustainability; and engagement of their colleagues and teams.
She connects with every client as an individual, acknowledging their strengths, experiences, passions, and blind spots. This approach establishes a trusting relationship with the clinician; provides objective evaluation of leadership survey data; facilitates clinician driven goal setting using self-assessment and coaching input; and provides follow through coaching that can be customized to meet the goals of the individual and/or their team and leadership.
Creating human understanding and connection, while facilitating continuous improvement and promoting operational excellence, requires sustained behavioral change. Lisa’s work style is one of involving employees at every level, and stimulating the effectiveness of cross-functional teams. She works diligently to produce measurable results in the workplace, through employee engagement, knowledge-transfer and developmental coaching for sustainable improvement.
Lisa is a longstanding member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, where she served on the Board of Directors to local Dirigo Chapter 46 as their Operational Strategist and Roundtable Moderator. She is a former Adjunct Professor at Southern Maine Community College teaching Lean Manufacturing; a community member for the Internal Review Boards at Central Maine Healthcare and Maine Medical Center Research Institute; and the Biotech Industry Member on the advisory board for USM School of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology.
