Jason Charles Vallee, Ph.D. has over 20 years of experience in healthcare. He currently serves as the Vice President of Patient Experience for Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth Hitchcock in Keene, NH. In this position, Jason leads all Patient Experience improvement initiatives and directs and manages the day to day operations of the physician, administrative, and operational leaders and staff. He serves as a physician and executive coach, curriculum development expert, and is responsible for developing a culture of Service at CMC/D-H. Jason was appointed to the faculty of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College, Department of Community and Family Medicine, where he is responsible for teaching Leadership Theory to the medical students.
Jason began his career with Dartmouth-Hitchcock in 2007 in Organizational Development, working with executives and leaders to create and implement programs that connect providers and staff with the goals of the health system; consulting with management and other leadership to develop methods for data analysis, management, and reporting; and creating and implementing effective strategic planning methods.

Prior to working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Jason was an Associate Professor of Management and Economics in the College of Business, Johnson & Wales University. Jason has served as the Chairman of both the Honors Department and the Teaching Excellence program there. He was voted Teacher of the Year 2005-2006 at the Denver campus and also received several awards for an outstanding publications, community service, and service to the university. Jason was selected to teach comparative economic theory as visiting faculty of Syracuse University at SeJong University, Seoul, South Korea.

Jason graduated with his Ph.D. in Human and Organization Systems from the Fielding Graduate University. Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., Jason completed masters’ degrees in management and subsequently organizational development. In his first master’s degree, Jason studied human resources, economics, finance, management, and information technology. His second master’s degree focused on human motivation, leadership, organizational theory, and systems theory. Jason also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, with minors in sociology and anthropology. Jason has authored and developed over thirty courses in the areas of leadership, management, human resources, economics, business, and technology. He is currently developing a book on Achieving Excellence in the Patient Experience, based on a presentation that has received wide acclaim within the healthcare industry.

On a personal level, Jason enjoys an outdoor lifestyle immensely. An avid triathlete, he has completed several marathons and triathlons, including twice completing the Ironman Triathlon. He takes pleasure in training with his wife, Stephanie, who has also completed several races, including the marathon. When not training, Jason likes writing, reading, hiking, snowboarding, golf, and ice hockey. Jason and Stephanie are raising their 12 year old son, Ryan Alexander, and their beautiful daughter, Megan Suzanne, who turned 7 this past fall.
